Voice of Vision 'Nterprise and Women of Vision Economic Network, Inc. hosted the first annual "I Have A
Dream" Tween & Teen Biz Fest. The business festival included a workshop that provided youth of West Iberville
Parish, ages 10-16, an opportunity to acquire knowledge about finances and entrepreneurialism. Activities began
on Saturday, January 9th at City of Refuge FGM in White Castle, Louisiana. After completion of classes, young
entrepreneurs showcased their businesses on Saturday, January 16, 2010.
As youth sold goods and/or services, they were judged based on skills such as marketing, professionalism,
time-management and customer service. Businesses featured were Greg's Woodworks (Gregory Terry, Jr.), JDM
Photos (Jared Martin), Immari's Jewelry (Bryanna Jones), Jones Lawn & Car Care (Stephen Jones) and The
Pecan Candy Café (M.C., Jr.). Although we are very proud of every participant, only two prizes were awarded
for management skills displayed. Therefore, we would like to congratulate Jared Martin and Stephen Jones.
